SATS and Phonics Screening Results 2016

END OF SUMMER TERM DATA 2015-2016 FOR YEAR 2

 

THE END OF KS1 RESULTS FOR 2016 (30 CHILDREN)

  • This year under the new DFE Assessment arrangements the children will be categorised as follows within the Interim Assessment Framework.

    PKF = Pre Key Stage Foundations for the expected standard.

    WTS = Working towards the expected standard.

    EXS = Working at the expected standard.

    GDS = Working at a greater depth within the expected standard.

  • Please note that the Government is aiming for all children to reach the ‘Expected Standard’ within their year group.

  • Please note that the level of expectation and the difficulty of criteria for Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Science has increased significantly.

  • The following percentages are based on a judgement combining the SATS result and the final Teacher Assessment.

THE YEAR 1 PHONICS SCREENING

 

In the Year 1 Phonics Screening 2016, 79% of our children in Year 1 passed the screening.

 

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EARLY YEARS

 

  • 87% (26 children) reached a ‘good’ level of development across the 17 Early Learning goals (=expected and above)

    The percentage in 2015 was 90%.

 

  • Below is detailed the children who reached ‘exceeding’ in Reading, Writing and Mathematics

    Reading = 23%

    Writing = 17%

    Mathematics = 20%
