St Mary's Church of England (Voluntary Controlled) Infant School

St Mary's C of E Infant School

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Our PTA not only helps to raise funds for extra equipment and resources for the school, but being a part of the PTA team is a great way to get to know staff and other parents. Volunteers don't need to be available to help on a regular basis, even if you only have the odd hour here or there, the PTA would appreciate your help! The PTA have already run several successful fundraising events this academic year. These include

  • Quiz, Chilli and Games night
  • Christmas Hamper Raffle
  • Weekly cake raffle- this one is particularly popular with the children!

They also run fun activities for the children. The Christmas Disco was a real hit with the children.

Please contact the school office for further details.

Ways that you can raise funds for St Mary's

Easyfundraising

Easyfundraising turns your everyday online shopping into free donations for St Mary’s. Just start your online shopping first at easyfundraising, then shop as normal. Retailers will then make a small donation to say “thank you”. Many household brands take part, including Amazon, Sainsbury’s, John Lewis, M&S and many more. It doesn’t cost you a penny extra! It's really simple, all you have to do is:

1) Head to http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk

2) Search for “St Mary’s C of E Infant School PTA – Shackleford” as your cause to support

3) Next time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first, then to the normal retailer, and do your shopping. Once you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to the school at no cost to yourself. We’ve raised just over £1,000 so far this way – and we are grateful for every penny!

Amazon Smile

Amazon will also donate money to St Mary’s when you make purchases using their “Smile” website. Simply go to smile.amazon.co.uk and select “Shackleford, St Mary's Church of England School” as your chosen charity. You only have to do this once, then shop as normal and every purchase will raise funds for St Mary’s.
