St Mary's Surrey OAK Federation
Between 24th April and 5th June we ran a stakeholder consultation into proposals to form a federation between our two schools, St James Church of England VA Primary School and St Mary’s Church of England VC Infant School.
Governors from both schools met on 8th June to discuss the report and voted separately on the next steps. At the meeting there was a unanimous vote in favour of proceeding with a federation between the two schools.
Therefore, from Friday 1st September 2023, (assuming all tasks are completed by this date), we are pleased to announce that we will formally create a federation to be known as: The Surrey Oak Church of England Schools Federation.
UPDATE: 19th June 2023
Due to a late objection, we have been asked to amend our Federation name, as Surrey Hills was too similar to a school near Dorking. Therefore, the new Federation will be called Surrey Oak Church of England Schools Federation, or Surrey Oak Federation (SOF) for short.
