Pie Corbett Sentence Games
Pie Corbett created the Talk 4 Writing process that we follow for our literacy lessons at St. Mary's. As part of our daily lessons we always complete a 'quick write'. Below you will find lots of fun ideas to top up your child's literacy at home if you feel they need it. Pick one activity a day to get them writing - short, sharp bursts work best.
The Five Sentence Story
The children have played this literacy game before. It can be verbal, written or, ideally, both. They just complete the sentences. It works best (and is much funnier!) with a partner. Year R and 1 have also done this activity so younger siblings may enjoy joining in.
