The Creative Arts is a strong feature of our school. The headteacher teaches all children in the skills of the Creative Arts once a week plus writes and produces the Christmas Productions.
At St Mary's we focus on 5 core art skills i.e. drawing, painting, textiles, printing and 3D sculpture. All these skills are taught across the year groups, linked in with the half-termly themes.
Our children at St Mary's are confident in their artistic skills and produce individual and collaborative pieces reflecting their ability to use colour, pattern and texture.
We also have a professional ceramics teacher who works with our children on a weekly basis to produce clay work which is fired and glazed in our kiln.
